errors in advertisement!

Hi everyone!!  As I am surfing the internet, I accidently found a few pictures which has the grammatical mistakes. For me, it is not wrong to make mistake as it can enhances our vocabulary and English competencies.

Now, look closely at this pictures. Find the grammatical mistake which you think we, as a student can correct it.

As we look at this picture, the word “allow” must be in past tense, “allowed”! It is because the word “allow” is a command and had been saying by someone. Thus, it must be in the past tense form.

It is obvious that the spelling is wrong. It must be spell “lifejacket”.

When we read this, we can get the message of it’s instruction. However, it is grammatically wrong.
It can be written like this; “NO FOOTBALL!”

For this situation, only the spelling is wrong which can be written as “opening” !

The word “NO SMOKING” is right. However, the explanation is grammatically wrong. The word “smoking” describing the action of smoking. It is more suitable if the word “smoking” is change into the root word form, which is “smoke”!

Thus, I hope that my LITTLE information can gives a HUGE impact to your GRAMMAR! That all for this week. Ciao!

adverb

hi everyone..
For me, a verb is very important in a sentence.. Without verb, a sentence can't be constructed.. However, without adverb, a verb is not really complete.. So today, I'll tell u about adverb.. Happy learning people.. ;)

An adverb is a word used to tell more about a verb, and it almost always answers the questions how?when?where?how often?, and in what way?. Words like slowlyloudlycarefullyquickly, orsadly are all adverbs. Adverbs usually, but not always, end in -ly.

An adverb can also modify (describe) an adjective or another adverb.
Examples:
Adverb modifying a verb: He writes well
Adverb modifying another adverb: He writes very well
Adverb modifying an adjective: He is very well

In the first two examples the word 'well' is an adverb. In the last example, it is an adjective. This is one example in which the same word can be both an adjective and an adverb but not in the same sentence.

As a rule, the same word can play different roles but not in the same sentence. It all depends on what the word is doing in the sentence. It could be a noun, an adjective, an adverb, a verb, etc. Example: take the word 'cool'. In the sentence, "he walks cool", the word 'cool' is an adverb. In the sentence, "cool the hot dish", the word 'cool' is a verb. In the sentence, "it is a cool evening", the word 'cool' is an adjective. In the first example, "he walks cool", the word 'cool' really means 'coolly' as in "play it cool" (do not get excited; be calm).

Understand? Do apply it okayy? ciou.. :)
